I have used a wheelchair to get around since contracting bilharzia as a child in Zimbabwe. I love nature and discovering new places - either with friends or on my own, which is a great way to make new friends.

I feel fortunate to live in Cape Town where there are so many beautiful places to visit. Using a wheelchair hasn't deterred me from travelling but it does help to know beforehand which places are easy to access - so I hope sharing my experiences will be helpful to you.
